I am a woman of many passions. As a mother, I find myself watching my children from one moment to the next and hoping that I will absorb all the joy of them in the now. As a photographer, I seek to capture the now before it passes... to encapsulate what it is to be at a single moment in time... to capture it with my photography.

All the times, places and moments of our lives make us who we are over the course of our lives. If I can capture just a few of those memories in photography, a few of those glimpses as they pass on the journey of life, I have reached my goal as an artist. I consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to help a client capture a few of their moments as they pass... to record them forever so that you won’t forget who you are in the now... what it is to absorb all the joy of your children, your family, your lives.

Having studied photography while living in Paris, France, I went on to complete my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of North Texas. I have worked as an art teacher, a jewelry designer and a marketing/graphic design professional. Photography, however, was one of my very first artistic passions when I started college in 1990, and it has remained a constant in my life since then. After these nearly 17 years of capturing moments in photography, I am excited to have turned a passion into a career as a children's photographer.

Kate has been celebrated by the Southwest Professional Photographers Association with a Judge's Choice Award, 2008 Southwest Regional Print Competition, as well as being honored for her work creating Distinguished prints in the Portrait competition category.
